Roc Band
Turn Down the Suck - 2002

Roc Band

A rock band of the highest degree. Jason Carroll, Gavin Calder, Vern Oldham, and Brent Calder. I wish we had more time to record these songs. The sound quality is low but the song quality is way high. It's a good thing I bought that suck knob for the studio because we turned it way down.

Trite (Rejects) - 1995-2000

These songs were all rejects from the album Trite. Usually rejected as a result of their silliness, poor quality, or my lack of participation. They're fun.

Summer of 1995. Two of my friends (Jose Franco and Joshua Dobies) and I got together to play some music for a party. My sister Sabrina got involved in one song. We recorded this stuff later on a Fostex 8 track reel to reel.

The Incredible Circus Train
Do You Ever Wonder - 1993

The Incredible Circus Train

Our second studio attempt. Also recorded on an 8 track in a home studio owned by Brian Young. These songs seemed very influenced by Redd Kross. This was the first mix that the band did themselves.

The Incredible Circus Train
Do You Ever Wonder (Produced by Matt Devine) - 1993

The Incredible Circus Train

Same as the previous. But some new harmonies were added and some taken out. This collection was produced and mixed by Matt Devine who, at the time, was in a band called Permanent Green Light.

The Incredible Circus Train
Everybodys Happy - 1993

The Incredible Circus Train

This is a digitization of a tape from 1993. The quality is pretty bad but the songs are pretty good. Karl Rumpf was the frontman for The Incredible Circus Train. He wrote and sang the songs. I played drums. Joe Horspool played a rockin' bass.

The Incredible Circus Train
Pop Goes The Weasel Vol. 1 - 1993

The Incredible Circus Train

This was a compilation CD released in Japan. Our friends from Permanent Green Light were kind enough to get us on the record. I have no idea if any of these CDs actually sold in Japan but you can still find the CD if you search for it on Google.

06 - Down

Cellar Door
Live Rehearsal - 1992-1993

Cellar Door

This was the pre-cursor to The Incredible Circus Train. Andre Julien was singing most of the songs, writing most of the lyrics, and writing just a couple of songs for the band. Karl, Joe, and I didn't take his music as seriously as he did so we decided to go on without him. This particular recording was just a couple of microphones set up in the rehearsal space in Joe's garage hooked up to a four track recorder. This is pretty much how our shows sounded if you turn it up to eleven.

The Local Cows
Early Recordings - 1989-1991

The Local Cows

My first band. I fell in love with recording on a simple tape-based 4 track recorder when my friend Joe Horspool introduced me to one. I would want to record stuff just for the sake of recording. Therefore, these songs are a product of that love. They are silly childish songs that may only be appreciated by those who were involved in their creation.

Vern Oldham
4 Track Recordings - 1989-

Vern Oldham

Various 4 track recordings with various talents. For those of you who do not know what a 4 track recorder is, it is a small tape deck that uses 4 tracks of the cassette tape. As you know there are two sides to a cassette tape, each side has two tracks for stereo signals. A four track recorder uses all four tracks of a cassette. Most of these are pretty poor quality recordings. Some of them are worth it.
